Victoria Falls Airport

Victoria Falls Airport first opened in the 1960s and received a modern international terminal in 2016; it operates from a single passenger terminal and serves as Zimbabwe’s key gateway to the famous falls and nearby Hwange National Park. Compact but important for regional tourism, VFA handles a mix of scheduled regional flights and charters, linking to Harare, Johannesburg and southern African hubs. The airport is roughly a 20–30 minute drive from Victoria Falls town with shuttle transfers, taxis and car hire widely available, while public-bus options are limited. Fares are generally mid-range—budget regional carriers operate here but prices climb in peak season—and the airport functions more as a regional base for carriers such as Fastjet, Airlink and occasional domestic operators rather than a major airline hub.
