Ust-Nera Airport

Ust‑Nera Airport, opened in the Soviet era around the 1960s, is a compact regional airfield serving the remote gold‑mining settlement of Ust‑Nera in Russia’s Sakha Republic. With a single modest terminal and a short runway, it’s an important local gateway for passengers, cargo and medical evacuations across northeastern Yakutia rather than a major international hub. The airport is connected to the town by a short access road with limited public transport—taxis and occasional buses—while most travelers connect via Yakutsk or other regional centers.
