Trat Airport

Trat Airport opened in the early 2000s (around 2003) and is a small regional gateway serving Trat province and nearby islands like Koh Chang; it operates from a single compact terminal and handles light domestic traffic. Positioned close to Laem Ngop pier, the airport offers easy taxi and shuttle connections to Trat town and the ferry piers (about 20–30 minutes), with quick onward road links to Koh Chang and a short scheduled hop to Bangkok, making it a convenient entry point for island travelers. Bangkok Airways is the primary carrier serving the airport; fares are generally affordable for domestic routes but can rise during peak season.
