Tozeur Airport

Tozeur–Nefta Airport, opened in the mid-20th century, is a compact regional airport with a single small passenger terminal that serves as the main gateway to Tunisia’s southwest and the nearby Sahara oasis towns. Lightweight but important for tourism, it handles regular domestic links to Tunis and seasonal international charters, and lies roughly 8–12 km from Tozeur and Nefta with straightforward road access by taxi, rental car and occasional airport shuttles. Generally considered budget-friendly compared with larger Tunisian hubs, it attracts competitive charter and low-cost fares; Tunisair, Nouvelair and regional carriers commonly operate scheduled or seasonal services rather than maintaining a large full-time hub.
