Touggourt Airport

Touggourt Airport, opened in the mid-20th century, is a compact regional airport with a single passenger terminal serving the Touggourt area and nearby Saharan communities. As the main gateway for southern Algeria, it handles regular domestic services—especially to Algiers—and connects travelers to oil-field towns and desert destinations. Ground access is straightforward: expect a short 10–20 minute drive to Touggourt by taxi or rental car, plus regional bus and shuttle options for nearby cities. Serviced mainly by Air Algérie and Tassili Airlines, the airport is not a major international hub and is generally regarded as an affordable option for domestic travel.
