Tabubil Airport

Tabubil Airport, opened in the 1960s, is a small but vital regional airport serving the mining town of Tabubil in Papua New Guinea’s Western Province; it has a single modest terminal and handles mainly short-haul scheduled and charter flights. The airport is important for workers and local communities, linking Tabubil to Port Moresby, Mt Hagen and other PNG hubs via carriers such as Air Niugini, PNG Air and local charter operators, though it isn’t a major airline hub.
