Spirit of St. Louis Airport

Spirit of St. Louis Airport, opened in the mid-1960s, is a single-terminal reliever airport in Chesterfield serving the greater St. Louis region and light corporate, charter and flight-training traffic. Compact but busy, it offers a handful of fixed-base operators, hangars and general aviation services rather than large commercial concourses, making it an efficient alternative to Lambert-St. Louis International for private flyers. Located roughly 20–25 miles west of downtown St. Louis and reachable by local highways, ride-shares and regional shuttles, public transit is limited. Parking and fees tend to be more affordable than major hubs, and the field is a base for corporate flight departments and charter operators.
