The airport’s modest size means quick transfers and short walks, and it’s primarily served by domestic carriers such as China Southern and China Eastern alongside other regional airlines rather than acting as a major hub. Ground access is straightforward with taxis, airport shuttles and highway coach links to Shaoguan city and nearby Guangzhou/Shenzhen corridors—public transit options are limited. Fares tend to be affordable for domestic travel, so it’s a good pick for budget-conscious visitors.
