Seychelles International Airport

Seychelles International Airport on Mahé opened in the early 1970s (officially 1972) and remains the country’s primary gateway, with one main passenger terminal handling international and domestic traffic. Compact but busy, it’s the hub for national carrier Air Seychelles and the jump-off point for inter-island flights to Praslin and La Digue as well as long-haul connections to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Located about 11 km from Victoria, the airport is easily reachable by taxi, scheduled buses, private transfers and car hire, with ferry links available for nearby islands; services and on-site prices tend to be mid-to-expensive given the destination’s tourism focus.
