Savoonga Airport

Savoonga Airport, established in the mid-20th century, is a single-terminal, small regional airfield serving the Inupiat community on St. Lawrence Island and acting as an essential lifeline for supplies and travel. Compact but important, the airport handles short, scheduled flights and charter services rather than large jet traffic, with regular connections to Nome and other nearby hubs via regional carriers such as Bering Air.
