Rouyn-Noranda Airport

Rouyn-Noranda Airport (YUY), established in the mid-20th century, is a compact regional airport with a single small passenger terminal serving the Abitibi-Témiscamingue area. Though not a major airline hub, YUY handles scheduled and charter flights by regional carriers connecting to Montreal and nearby Quebec communities, and is commonly used by business and leisure travelers heading into the mining and forest regions. The airport is roughly a 10–15 minute drive (about 10 km) from downtown Rouyn-Noranda and is accessible by car, taxi and limited shuttle services. As a smaller regional field, fares can be moderately higher than large hubs, but parking and quick check-ins make it convenient for short trips.
