Rourkela

Rourkela Airport (RRK) is a compact regional airport serving the industrial city of Rourkela in Odisha; the airfield was established in the mid-20th century (around the 1950s) and today operates from a single small terminal that handles scheduled and charter flights. Although not a major hub, RRK is an important gateway for the Sundergarh district and the nearby Rourkela Steel Plant, with convenient road links and taxis or local buses connecting the airport to the city center in roughly 6–8 km. The airport primarily hosts regional carriers such as Alliance Air and other domestic operators, generally offering budget-friendly fares and simple, affordable facilities for travelers.
