Rajkot Hirasar Airport opened in 2023 and features a single modern passenger terminal designed to serve the Saurashtra region; it’s a small-to-medium domestic airport that has quickly become Rajkot’s main air gateway. Located roughly 25–30 km from downtown Rajkot, the airport is best reached by road with regular bus links, airport shuttles, taxis and car rentals offering straightforward connections to the city and surrounding towns. Generally known for competitive fares and budget-friendly ground services, Hirasar is not a major airline hub but is well served by carriers such as IndiGo, SpiceJet and Air India/Alliance Air on regional routes.
