Qaanaaq Airport

Qaanaaq Airport (IATA: NAQ) in northwestern Greenland opened in the early 1990s and operates from a single small terminal, serving as one of the world’s northernmost regional airfields and the main lifeline for the remote town of Qaanaaq and surrounding settlements. The compact airport handles short regional aircraft and charters—primarily Air Greenland services—rather than serving as a major hub, and ground facilities are basic. There are no road links to other towns, so passengers rely on air, seasonal boat or helicopter connections and limited local transfers; fares tend to be higher than average due to remoteness and sparse services.
