Piarco International Airport

Piarco International Airport (POS), the main international gateway for Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, opened in the 1950s and today operates from one main passenger terminal with multiple gates and concourses serving regional and long‑haul routes. As a medium‑sized but busy Caribbean hub, Piarco is the primary base for Caribbean Airlines and handles a mix of international, regional and domestic connections. The airport is about 25–30 km east of Port of Spain with easy road access via the Churchill–Roosevelt Highway and regular taxis, shuttle services and car rentals linking nearby cities. Onsite shops and eateries are mid‑range to slightly pricey compared with local markets, but it remains a convenient, well‑connected option for travelers hunting cheap flights to Trinidad.
