Paraburdoo Airport

Paraburdoo Airport, opened in the early 1970s, is a compact regional airport serving the Pilbara mining town of Paraburdoo and nearby communities like Tom Price; it operates from a single passenger terminal and functions mainly as a FIFO and charter gateway. Although modest in size, the airport is strategically important for mining operations and regular scheduled links—most notably QantasLink services to Perth—while charter carriers such as Alliance Airlines and Skippers Aviation frequently base flights here. Ground access is simple with short drives from town, hire cars, taxis and industry shuttles; fares tend to be higher than major domestic routes due to remoteness, though occasional deals appear.
