Palanga International Airport

Palanga International Airport, opened in the 1930s and modernized in recent decades, is a compact regional gateway serving Lithuania’s Baltic coast with a single passenger terminal. Though modest in size, it’s the main entry point for seaside resorts and the Klaipėda region, handling seasonal leisure traffic alongside year-round connections. The airport is well connected by shuttle buses, regional coaches and taxis to Palanga and nearby Klaipėda (a short drive), with convenient road links and rental-car options. Fares tend to be affordable thanks to frequent low-cost services from carriers like Ryanair and Wizz Air, and while not a major hub it’s an important base for budget airlines.
