Oruro

Oruro Airport, opened around the 1950s, is a compact regional airport with a single small terminal serving the high-altitude city of Oruro in Bolivia. Though modest in size, it plays an important role for domestic connections and seasonal visitors—especially during the famous Carnaval de Oruro—offering basic passenger services and short-haul flights. Located a short drive from downtown (typically 15–25 minutes), it’s reachable by taxis, local shuttles and limited bus links rather than an extensive public-transport network. Not a major international hub, it handles regional carriers such as Amaszonas and Boliviana de Aviación; fares are generally affordable compared with larger Bolivian airports.
