Ontario International Airport (ONT), opened in the 1920s (established 1923), is a mid-sized regional airport serving the Inland Empire and Greater Los Angeles area with two main terminals and a busy cargo footprint. Known as a convenient, lower-cost alternative to LAX, ONT handles a mix of domestic and cross-border flights and is an important cargo hub with significant FedEx and UPS operations.
