Nduli Airport

Nduli Airport, commonly called Iringa Airport, opened in the 1960s and operates a single small terminal serving domestic routes; it’s a compact regional gateway in southern Tanzania linking Iringa with Dar es Salaam and other inland destinations. Modest in size but strategically important for travelers heading to Ruaha National Park and the surrounding highlands, the airfield handles turboprops and light aircraft rather than large international jets. Road access is straightforward—taxis, shared minibuses and local shuttle options cover the roughly 10–15 km transfer into Iringa town—making connections easy. Air fares here are generally affordable compared with major international airports, and services are regularly provided by local carriers such as Air Tanzania and Auric Air.
