Nanning Wuxu International Airport (NNG), opened in the 1960s, is the main gateway to Guangxi and southwest China, featuring one main passenger terminal and a compact cargo area that handles growing regional and short-haul international traffic. As a mid-sized airport serving both domestic routes and links to Southeast Asia, NNG is an important hub for Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airlines and a base for China Southern’s regional operations. Located roughly 30–35 km southwest of downtown Nanning, the airport is well served by airport shuttle buses, taxis and road connections to nearby cities, while public transit links are gradually expanding. Prices for food and transport tend to be affordable compared with larger Chinese hubs, making Nanning a traveler-friendly option when searching for cheap flights.
