Nalchik Airport

Nalchik Airport, opened in the mid-20th century (around the 1960s), is a single-terminal regional airport serving Nalchik and the Kabardino-Balkaria republic; modest in size, it handles mostly domestic and seasonal flights and is an important gateway to the North Caucasus. Located a short drive from the city center, the airport is easily reached by taxi, shared minibuses and local bus links, with convenient road connections to nearby resorts and towns. Generally more affordable than Russia’s major hubs, Nalchik is not a base for any major carrier but is regularly served by Aeroflot and several regional airlines, making it a practical choice for budget-minded travelers.
