Nain

Nain Airport, opened in the 1960s (approx.), is a small regional airfield with a single modest terminal that serves the remote Inuit community on Labrador’s north coast. Though compact, it plays an outsized role in local travel and supply links, offering scheduled connections to Goose Bay and other Labrador hubs and quick access for medevac and charter flights. There’s no road link to the provincial highway network, so most visitors use air service or seasonal coastal ferries; local parking and walkable access to the town make arrivals straightforward. Flights are run by provincial carriers and charter operators like PAL Airlines and local services, and fares tend to be higher than major airports due to the airport’s remote location.
