As the principal gateway to Mukah and the Melanau coastal region, it’s important for business and community travel rather than international connections, with short check-in times and basic amenities. The airport is a short drive from Mukah town (typically 10–20 minutes) and is connected by local taxis, ride-hire and limited shuttle/bus services; larger hubs like Sibu and Miri provide onward connections. Flights are generally affordable on regional carriers, and services are mainly operated by MASwings rather than major airlines.
