Montgomery Regional Airport

Montgomery Regional Airport (MGM), also known as Dannelly Field, opened in the early 1940s and today operates from a single main passenger terminal serving central Alabama; it’s a compact but vital regional airport that supports commercial service, cargo and a notable military presence (Alabama Air National Guard). Located about a 10–15 minute drive from downtown Montgomery and well connected by major highways, MGM offers taxis, rideshares, rental cars and limited public-bus links for easy access to the city and surrounding areas. Generally known for affordable fares on short-haul routes, the airport is served mainly by American Eagle and Delta Connection with occasional seasonal low-cost service.
