Maroantsetra

Maroantsetra Airport (WMN) is a small regional airport serving the coastal town of Maroantsetra and the gateway to Masoala National Park, with origins dating back to around the mid-20th century and a single modest terminal handling domestic traffic. Important for eco-tourism and local commerce rather than international travel, the airport connects by frequent regional flights to Antananarivo and occasional services to Toamasina, mainly operated by Madagascar’s domestic carriers such as Tsaradia and charter operators; it is not a major airline hub. Ground access is simple—a short taxi ride to town and boat links to nearby villages—though roads can be rough, and fares tend to be affordable but can rise in peak season due to limited capacity.
