Opened in 1995, Malvinas Argentinas International Airport is the compact yet vital gateway to Ushuaia and Tierra del Fuego, featuring a single main terminal that handles both domestic and international flights. As the southernmost international airport in Argentina, it connects seasonal and year-round services to Buenos Aires and other Patagonian cities and is the primary departure point for Antarctica cruises. The airport is conveniently located about 4 km from Ushuaia city center with regular shuttle buses, taxis and car hire links, though services can be limited in low season. Fares tend to be higher because of its remote location, and it acts as a focus city for Aerolíneas Argentinas while LATAM and several regional carriers offer regular flights.
