Los Angeles International Airport

Opened in 1930, Los Angeles International Airport has nine passenger terminals and serves as a major West Coast gateway, handling heavy domestic and international traffic to Asia, the Pacific and Latin America. Large and busy, the airport includes the Tom Bradley International Terminal and dozens of long-haul routes; ground access features frequent FlyAway buses to downtown, Hollywood and Van Nuys, extensive rental-shuttle services, and improving Metro rail connections along with a new automated people mover to speed transfers between terminals. Airfares can be very competitive thanks to many carriers, but parking and on-site prices are often high; it’s a key hub for American Airlines and a West Coast base or focus city for Delta, Alaska and Southwest, with broad international airline service.
