La Crosse Regional Airport opened in the 1920s and today operates from a single small terminal with a handful of gates, serving as the primary air gateway for Wisconsin’s Coulee Region. Compact but well-equipped, it’s located about five miles southeast of downtown La Crosse and offers easy access via I-90 with taxis, rental cars, local transit and shuttle options linking the airport to the city, University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and regional hospitals. Not a major hub, LSE is served mainly by regional affiliates of American and United, and typically offers competitively priced Midwest flights—though limited competition can push up fares on some routes.
