Konya Airport

Konya Airport, opened to civilian traffic in the early 1990s and co-located with a long-standing military air base, operates a single main passenger terminal and functions as an efficient regional gateway to Central Anatolia and Konya’s cultural sites like the Mevlana Museum. Modest in size compared with Turkey’s big hubs, it handles mostly domestic and some seasonal flights with good road links, regular airport shuttles and taxis connecting to Konya city centre in roughly 15–30 minutes. Generally regarded as an affordable option for travelers, the airport is well served by Turkish Airlines and its regional arm AnadoluJet, plus several low-cost carriers on key routes.
