Kerman Airport

Kerman Airport, often called Shahid Bahonar Airport, began operations in the 1960s and today runs a single main passenger terminal with separate cargo and general aviation areas. As a medium-sized regional gateway for southeastern Iran, it handles domestic and some international flights and is an important connection point for travelers bound for Kerman city and nearby tourist sites like the Lut Desert. Located roughly 15 km from downtown, the airport is reachable by taxis, shared shuttles and regional buses via the main road network. Fares tend to be affordable on domestic routes, and regional carriers such as Mahan Air and Iran Air maintain regular services and local bases here.
