Kempegowda International Airport

Kempegowda International Airport (BLR), opened in 2008, serves as Bangalore’s main gateway with two passenger terminals and a large cargo complex, making it one of India’s busiest international airports. Located in Devanahalli about 35–40 km north of downtown Bengaluru, BLR is vital for business and tech travelers and offers multiple connections: BMTC Vayu Vajra airport buses, private shuttles, app-based taxis, highway access via NH44 and a recent metro link that shortens city transfers. Generally mid-range in cost—airport dining and shopping can be pricey but plenty of budget transport and lounge options exist. BLR is a major base for IndiGo and a key operating hub for Vistara and Air India.
