Jamestown Airport opened in the 1940s and today operates a single small passenger terminal, serving as a compact regional gateway for Jamestown and central North Dakota. The airport is modest in size but important for local connectivity, handling general aviation, charter flights and occasional scheduled service from regional carriers under federal programs. It’s easily reached from I-94 and US‑281, with rental cars, taxis and limited shuttle or bus options linking travelers to Jamestown and, within about two hours’ drive, larger cities like Bismarck and Fargo. Parking and fees tend to be lower than at major airports, making it a generally affordable choice; it is not a hub for major airlines.
