Jaime Gonzalez Airport

Jaime González Airport in Cienfuegos opened in the mid-20th century (around the 1940s–1950s) and operates a single modest terminal handling mainly domestic services and seasonal international charters. As the primary gateway to Cienfuegos and the southern central Cuban coast, it’s compact but strategically important, located roughly 10 km from downtown with taxis, local buses and car rentals providing straightforward links to the city and nearby resorts. Facilities are basic compared with larger hubs, which helps keep traveler costs generally affordable. While not a major hub, the airport is regularly served by Cubana and a rotating mix of regional and charter carriers.
