Huai'an Lianshui Airport

Huai'an Lianshui Airport (HIA), opened in the late 2000s (commissioned around 2008), is a compact regional airport serving Huai'an and northern Jiangsu from a single passenger terminal. Small but strategically important for the region, it connects local travelers to major Chinese hubs and holiday destinations, with shuttle buses, airport coaches and taxi services providing roughly 40–60 minutes’ access to Huai'an city center via the expressway and good road links to nearby cities. Fares are generally affordable for domestic travelers, with regular service by carriers such as China Eastern, China Southern, Hainan Airlines and several budget airlines rather than a large hub airline presence.
