Hovden Airport

Hovden Airport (HOV) opened in the early 1990s and operates from a single small terminal, serving as the compact regional gateway to the Hovden ski resort and surrounding Setesdal valley. Modest in size but seasonally important, HOV handles mainly domestic and charter flights and is not a major hub—most services are provided by regional carriers such as Widerøe and occasional seasonal charters. Ground access is simple with shuttle buses, car rental and taxi links, and scenic road connections to nearby towns (Kristiansand and Oslo reachable within several hours by car). Fares are generally affordable off-season, though prices often rise during peak ski periods.
