Hammerfest Airport (HFT) opened in 1974 and operates from a single compact terminal, serving as a small but vital regional gateway in northern Finnmark. Fares tend to be moderate to slightly higher than big-city airports due to limited competition, and regional carrier Widerøe handles the bulk of scheduled services and PSO routes.
