Guayaramerín Airport opened in the mid-1960s and remains a compact regional gateway with a single small terminal serving the Bolivian Amazon border town of Guayaramerín. Modest in size but locally important, the airport handles domestic flights and charter services that connect travelers to the nearby Mamoré River frontier and nearby towns; it’s a short taxi or moto-taxi ride from the town center and also links to river transport for cross-border trips. Facilities are basic and fares tend to be affordable compared with larger Bolivian airports, and the field is frequently used by regional carriers such as Amaszonas and local charters.
