Gorno-Altaysk Airport (IATA: RGK) — originally opened in the mid-20th century and modernized with upgrades in the 2010s — is a compact regional airport with a single passenger terminal that acts as the main gateway to the Altai Republic and its mountain tourism. Small but strategically important for domestic travel, RGK handles scheduled flights to Novosibirsk, Moscow and nearby Siberian cities and is served by major Russian carriers and regional airlines. The airport is roughly a 10–15 minute drive from Gorno-Altaysk city center with bus, taxi and seasonal shuttle links to regional hubs.
