Gladstone Airport

Gladstone Airport (GLT) is a small regional airport serving Gladstone and central Queensland, established in the mid-20th century and operating from a single compact terminal. As the main air gateway for the city’s industrial and tourism traffic, it’s important for fly-in fly-out mining operations and short domestic hops rather than long-haul travel. The airport is only a short drive (about 10–15 minutes) from Gladstone’s CBD with car hire, taxis and limited local bus links available, making connections to nearby cities straightforward. Flights are typically offered by QantasLink and other regional and charter carriers; fares are generally reasonable but can rise during peak or charter periods.
