Located in the Fisherton neighborhood of Rosario, Rosario–Islas Malvinas (often called Fisherton Airport) began operations in the 1920s and today operates from one main passenger terminal, serving a mid-sized regional role for the Greater Rosario area. The airport handles regular domestic connections and a handful of international services, making it an important gateway for Santa Fe province. About 10–15 km from downtown, it’s easily reached via National Route 9 with airport buses, local buses, taxis and car hire available. Fares are generally competitive—often cheaper than routing through Buenos Aires—and the airport is served by carriers such as Aerolíneas Argentinas and low-cost operators like JetSMART and Flybondi, though it is not a major airline hub.
