Esenboga International Airport

Esenboğa International Airport, opened in 1955, is Ankara’s primary gateway and one of Turkey’s major airports, featuring one main terminal with separate domestic and international concourses serving millions of passengers annually. Located about 28 km northeast of the city center, Esenboğa is well connected by Havaş and EGO shuttle buses, intercity coaches, taxis and fast road links that reach central Ankara in roughly 35–45 minutes, with a metro extension planned. The airport is a key base for Turkish Airlines and its regional brand AnadoluJet and sees frequent low-cost and full-service options, making fares generally mid-priced with competitive domestic deals.
