Entebbe International Airport

Entebbe International Airport, opened in 1951, is Uganda’s primary international gateway with one main passenger terminal (plus separate cargo and VIP facilities) and a compact, easy-to-navigate layout. Situated on a Lake Victoria peninsula near Entebbe town, it’s a medium-sized airport of national importance and was recently upgraded to boost capacity and services. The airport is well connected to Kampala—about 35–45 minutes by car using the Kampala–Entebbe Expressway—with taxis, shuttles and limited public-bus options available. Generally seen as moderately affordable compared with larger African hubs, Entebbe is the home hub for Uganda Airlines and also handles several regional and international carriers.
