Emmonak Airport

Emmonak Airport (EMK) is a small regional airfield in rural Alaska, established in the mid-20th century (around the 1950s) to connect the Yukon River delta community to larger hubs. The airport operates from a single modest terminal and functions as an essential gateway for passengers, cargo and medevac services in the Kusilvak area rather than a major hub. Access is primarily by short local road or river transfer to Emmonak village and scheduled flights from regional carriers; local shuttles and taxis are commonly used for last-mile connections. Due to its remote location, fares tend to be higher than average, though regional carriers such as Bering Air and Ravn Alaska maintain regular service and charters.
