Elko Airport (IATA: EKO), also known as Elko Regional Airport, opened in the mid-20th century (around the 1950s) and operates a single small terminal serving northeastern Nevada. This compact regional airport is an important gateway for Elko and surrounding mining and outdoor-recreation communities, handling scheduled regional flights, general aviation and charter traffic rather than large international services. Located just a short 3–5 mile drive from downtown Elko with easy road links to I-80, the airport offers rental cars, taxis and shuttle options for onward travel.
