Dhaalu Airport

Dhaalu Airport opened in 2017 and features a single small terminal serving Dhaalu Atoll’s Kudahuvadhoo island; it’s a compact but important regional gateway for southern Maldives resorts. The airport handles mainly domestic flights and charter connections, providing regular services to Velana International (Malé) in roughly 30–40 minutes and quick boat or speedboat transfers to nearby islands. As a modestly sized facility focused on tourism, it isn’t a hub for international carriers but is regularly served by Maldivian and other local airlines, offering competitive fares for budget-conscious travelers—though seaplane and private transfers to resorts can add to overall trip costs.
