Del Norte County Regional Airport (CEC), also known as Jack McNamara Field, opened in the mid-20th century and operates a single small terminal serving Del Norte County and Crescent City. This compact regional airport is an important gateway for northern California’s coastal communities, handling a mix of general aviation and limited scheduled flights to larger hubs. Located roughly 3 miles (5 km) from downtown Crescent City, CEC is easily reached by US‑101 with rental cars, taxis and regional shuttle or bus options for onward travel. Fares can be higher than at major hubs due to limited service, and the airport is served by a few regional carriers rather than acting as a hub.
