Dabolim Airport

Dabolim Airport, opened in 1955, is Goa’s main gateway and a medium-sized international civil enclave operating from the Indian Navy’s Dabolim airbase; it has a single passenger terminal handling several million travelers a year and serves as the island’s busiest airport. Located just a few kilometres from Vasco da Gama and about 30 km from capital Panaji, the airport is well connected by taxis, app cabs, state buses and highway links (NH-66), with car rentals and hotel transfers widely available. Many low-cost carriers serve Dabolim and it functions as a key base/focus city for IndiGo and SpiceJet, with Air India, Vistara and seasonal international airlines also operating — fares are generally affordable thanks to fierce competition, though prices rise sharply during peak tourist season.
