Coca Airport

Coca Airport, officially Francisco de Orellana Airport, was established in the mid-20th century (around 1960) and operates from a single small terminal as the primary regional gateway to Ecuador’s Amazon around Puerto Francisco de Orellana (Coca). Though modest in size, it’s important for domestic travel, eco-tourism to Yasuni National Park and oil-industry connections. Ground access is straightforward—short taxi or bus rides from town and river connections for deeper Amazon trips—and daily domestic links to Quito and other regional cities. It isn’t a major airline hub but is served by LATAM Ecuador and smaller regional carriers; fares are generally affordable for domestic routes, though remote-location premiums can apply.
