Ciudad Obregón Airport (CEN) is a compact regional international airport in Sonora, Mexico, opened in the mid-20th century and centered around a single passenger terminal that handles domestic and occasional international flights. As the main air gateway to the Yaqui Valley and Ciudad Obregón’s agricultural region, the airport is important for business and seasonal travel while remaining far smaller than Hermosillo or Tucson airports. It’s a short drive from downtown via Highway 15 with taxis, car rentals, and regular coach links to nearby towns, and fares tend to be affordable thanks to service by carriers such as Aeroméxico Connect, VivaAerobus and Volaris; CEN is not a major hub but offers convenient, budget-friendly connections across Mexico.
